Jungfrau Railways pitches Swiss hotspots to locals

Switzerland’s mountain trains are chugging away again after the longest shutdown in a century. With borders still closed in much of the world, Jungfrau Railways is urging locals to grab their knapsacks and head to the peaks, where for once they can have the views all to themselves. But the Swiss market can’t compensate for the dearth of foreign visitors, CEO Urs Kessler says. While he expects international tourism to pick up in September, he doesn’t see the railway’s business recovering before 2022.
