Switzerland’s short-time working compensation scheme may be extended by another six months to help businesses still suffering from the fallout of the coronavirus crisis, Boris Zürcher, head of the labor directorate at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), tells CNNMoney Switzerland. At the end of May, some 190,000 companies had signed up for the program, representing about 38 percent of the Swiss workforce.
