Planted Foods open to sharing the table with meat producers


With the coronavirus disrupting operations at slaughterhouses, producers of plant-based meat substitutes are looking to win over their biggest customer yet – the meat industry itself. In this episode of our special summer series highlighting sustainability, the co-founders of Planted Foods, Christoph Jenny and Pascal Bieri, discuss the recent spike in sales and the potential for partnerships with meat producers. “We have been approached by various meat producers very early on and in a very positive way,” Bieri tells CNNMoney’s Ana Maria Montero. “I think people start to realize this is the future.”
